In country like Vietnam, PMP aspirants may have the problem with First Name and Last Name declaration when they apply for PMP exam. For example: a PMP aspirant whose Full Name on his passport is Nguyen Van Viet Nam may enter First Name: Nam and Last Name: Nguyen Van Viet for his PMP application.
After he schedules the exam with Prometric, he will receive an Appointment Confirmation email from Prometric with his Full Name Nam Nguyen Van Viet. This Full Name is different from his Full Name on his passport, so that he cannot go into the exam center to take the exam.
There are some ways to solve this problem:
I. If you are in progress to apply on pmi.org, you can use one of 4 ways below:
1. First Name: Nguyen Van Viet; and Last Name: Nam
2. First Name: Nguyen; and Last Name: Van Viet Nam
3. First Name: Nguyen Van Viet Nam; and Last Name: "keep it empty"
4. First Name: "keep it empty"; and Last Name: Nguyen Van Viet Nam. I used to apply this way for my PMP, PMI-RMP and PMI-SP exam and it worked.
II. If you have already received an Appointment Confirmation email from Prometric with different Full Name compare to your passport information, please contact PMI Customer Care (email: email@example.com) for support.
Regarding to "Name as it should appear on your Certificate": you can use whatever you want such as Nguyen Van Viet Nam, Viet Nam Nguyen Van, Nam Nguyen Van Viet, Nam Nguyen, Nguyen Nam, etc.
Hope it helps!
